Description:
This animation was intended to to highlight the Pharmasonic's Sonotherapy catheter and its use in conjunction with a stent deployment procedure. The catheter emits sonographic pulses in order to inhibit the proliferation of smooth muscle cells so that the plaque can not redevelop leading to restenosis of the vessel once the plaque has been reduced by the stent.
