This MOA animation was designed for the Scios website. Natracor treats congestive heart failure, triggered by systems including the renin - angiotensin - aldosterone system, and causing vaso-constriction as well as sodium and fluid retention. Naturetic peptides (hBNP) serve as beneficial regulatory hormones. HBNP binds to Guanylate cyclase receptors and via this MOA reverses these negative effects.
