KO Studios is a creative studio specializing in the production of high impact digital images and animations for the healthcare, biotech, and pharmaceutical industries. Our services include 3-D and 2-D animation, illustration, multimedia presentations, and concept development for pharmaceutical advertising agencies, biotech companies, broadcast studios, publishers, medical product companies, and law firms, among other clients.
Our illustrators and animators each hold a Masters in Medical Illustration; a degree which reflects an intensive curriculum, including coursework in gross anatomy, histology, pathology and neurosciences, that they followed alongside of medical students. With our background in science and medicine we are able to solve many complex communication problems. Whether you need to show a complex drug action or unique anatomical view we will find the solution that best fits your needs.

Steve Oh, Founder and Director of KO Studios, earned his Masters Degree in Medical Illustration from the Medical College of Georgia in 1991. Previously, he earned a B.A. in Interdisciplinary studies from the University of Georgia, combining scientific Illustration with biological sciences.
After several years of working for various institutions, including Georgetown University, Beck Visual Communications, and the Arizona Heart Institute, Steve founded KO Studios.
Myriam Kirkman-Oh, Co-Director of KO Studios, also earned her Masters Degree in Medical Illustration from the Medical College of Georgia in 1991. Previously, she earned a B.A. in Physiology from UCSD and attended art school in Paris.
Myriam has held positions in medical publishing (Krames/StayWell) and in medical learning institutions, such as the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), the University Medical Center in Jackson MS, and the Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, AZ, before joining KO Studios.
